Re: How to simulate variometer sound?

It also works on oenTX
I testet on my Taranis with openTX 2.0.17. For safety I used a 3V battery, I am not sure if the A2 pin are 5V tolerant.

Re: How to simulate variometer sound?

An even simpler solution is to use the A2 as source for the variometer.
Then you can just connect a potentiometer to A2 on the receiver, and with a little adjustment on the offset for A2 you can get the +- values and tones.

Re: How to simulate variometer sound?

You could use this Arduino library to simulate the vario and other sensors:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2245978

I have tried it on an Arduino with just a potmeter to vary the vario from +5 to -5 m/sek, it works very well

Re: Arduino - Extend the number of servos supported by a Rx

I made the change in the debug code and now I get: 0 ch1: 32110 Servo1: 32110 0 ch1: 15720 Servo1: 15720 I checked the pins A1..A5 and 2..7, and they all work both with a servo and looks right on the Logical Analyzer. I attach the code with TRACE substituted by Serial.print(), and hope it is the rig...

Re: Arduino - Extend the number of servos supported by a Rx

Success ! Now it works! I have only tested 8 channels so far I will try more. Just one more comment: in your test from yesterday, I see that servo1 goes from 7890 up to 24280 I tried the debug option again and got the same result: 0 ch1: 15720 Servo1: 24280 0 ch1: 32110 Servo1: 7890 But when I conne...

I finally tried the BMP180 vario in real flight conditions in my EasyGlider.
It works pretty good
Without a direct comparison with both this and a ms5611 sensor, I can not judge the accuracy or sensitivity

Re: Arduino - Extend the number of servos supported by a Rx

@mstrens I tried your sketch on a Leonardo, which have the same processor as the micro As far as I can see the SBUS is interpreted correct, but I can't get any output on the pins. One good thing about the micro/Leonardo is that it has an additional serial port, so I just replaced your TRACE whit Ser...

Setting failsafe on Taranis

I have updated my Taranis to openTx 2.015 and it seems that I no longer can set the failsafe on the Taranis itself anymore. If I set the Failsafe in Companion and upload to the radio it works If I try to do the same on the taranis I can only set the failsafe to -0.8 ?? Argh, all ok, you just need to...

Re: Multiplex M-Link support for OpenXVario

You are right: I2C address should be 0x77 instead of 0xEE because the I2C library makes a left shift I didn't know that . I just used the Arduino I2C scanner to find the address since my sensor is BMP085 and not BMP180. I2C scanner Here is my debug output openXsensor starting.. milli=0 freeRam=1191...

Re: Multiplex M-Link support for OpenXVario

I just did a test with a FrSky FVS-01 , which I believe is a BMP085.
I just changed the address to 0x77 and it worked, with a X6R
Did the test in a plastic bag and blew in it :D

BTW: is this not a 3.3V device only? For safety I used a 3.3V Arduino

Re: Where Are all the EEPROM's listed if at all

There are atleast two Phoenix setups with crow brake http://rcsettings.com/index.php/viewcategory/11-sailplanes Mine is not so advanced, I only use the flaps as brake http://rcsettings.com/index.php/viewdownload/11-sailplanes/168-electro-glider Maybe it would be a good idea to put the link to rcsett...

Thanks Kilrah
For some reason I have never used that.
I have a pretty standard glider setup I could contribute
Edit:
Just for info for new users like myself.
You just upload your .epp file together with a description of your setup

I am wondering how the documentation on www.rcsettings.com are made.
What I mean, is there a utility that can produce those tables based on a .epp file.

Re: Arduino SBUS to Servo (PWM) Decoder

What does this change do?
Oh that was just to ensure that the serial port wasn't used for other purpose (I think)

I tried the config tool and it is very unstable. I was able to do a few read and write but I had to restart several times.

Re: Arduino SBUS to Servo (PWM) Decoder

I tried it on a UNO It works for me, atleast channels 1-5 and channel 16. I didn'y use the config tool, just used it as is I have a Taranis and X6R and use a inverter on the S.Bus line, and tested it with a servo on the mentioned channels. I don't know how the signal looks, but I could check with a ...

Re: Arduino based S-Bus decoder with CPPM and Servo

If you use the Sbus and servo librarys with the Arduino it becomes quite simple. I have used this sketch just to see if it worked. You just feed the sbus signal from the receiver through an inverter to rx on the Arduino You can have 12 servos connected with a Arduino mini. I used a transistor as inv...

Re: FrSky SBUS to PWM decoder?

I was wondering if it was easyer and cheaper just to drop the SBUS decoder and use an Arduino mini instead. There already is SBUS library to decode the sbus signal, and the Arduino servo library use the good old 20ms rate. The only thing missing is a simple inverter. I have tried it with just a sing...

Re: Who wants to build and sell varios for a french company?

So the result of my fridge test.
I calibrated at room temp. whish is 28 degree C and the voltage was 5.03V.
In the fridge at 5 degree 5.05 V and in the freezer at -18 degree 5.07.

I then tried to lower the voltage from 5V to 3.3 V om the Vcc pin, and the reading was 3.26V, my voltmeter showed 3.27V

Re: Who wants to build and sell varios for a french company?

It is my understanding that it is stable for each chip, which also are explained in the article I mentioned.
Also it has been discussed numeros times on the Arduino forum, but I could make a test (put a Arduino in the fridge :))
So just calibrate once pr chip and you are done.

Re: Who wants to build and sell varios for a french company?

The problem with the unstable, or unknown Vcc could be solved if you use the internal "Secret Voltmeter", like this: http://provideyourown.com/2012/secret-arduino-voltmeter-measure-battery-voltage/ And regarding the missing debug information (Serial.print) if you use the harware UART to SP...

X8R: 3.3V or 5V tolerant

Are the I/O pins on a X8R 3.3V only or are they 5V tolerant The reason I ask is that it would be easyer to use 5V when you are using Arduino (most models are 5V) I noticed that in the description of the openxvario they are using 5V to the input on A1/A2 https://code.google.com/p/openxvario/wiki/Buil...
