gruvin9x board

Post by lllNepsislll »

Hello guys, first post here. I just wanna say thanks for all the help that's posted here. Over the past year I learned so much. But as I get further in the hobby I find that I'll need more than 8 channels for a build I'm doing. I love my 9x and have gotten accustomed to the er9x fw. I've gotten telemetry on it along with a spectrum receiver inside just wish I would've found an ersky9x board when I first heard of it. Can't find one now. So gruvin9x will have to do but as I've already done everything for telemetry and such already. Was wondering if the gruvin board is worth the time. From the research I've done the gruvin doesn't support pxx proto( yet anyways) so I'm kinda on the fence on if I should buy another system to fit my needs, something like frsky taranis. Thanks for the input on this guys

I don't think the gruvin board is available anymore, just like sky9x.

They've been kind of replaced by the new radios (Taranis and upcoming 9XR-Pro), so you'll likely want one of those.

The upcoming 9XR PRO is based on the skyboard, with a few improvements.

er9x supports PXX and the FrSky XJT module. This would let you have 16 channels, using either 2 X8R receivers or the SBUS on a single X8R.

Sweet the xjt will work then, will I need two modules on my tx or will it work just binding both rx's to the xjt module.

You can bind two Rxs to the one XJT, follow the binding instructions that come with the receivers to get the second one giving channels 9-16 with NO telemetry.
