Mix to shut off motor?

Post by ShowMaster »

I have a brushed electric boat I run that uses a Nimh 6cell car pack.
I'd like to switch over to a 2 cell 3300 lipo pack. The esc has reverse so I want to keep it. My thought is to install a 4ch Frsky rec with telemetry and use it to report back lipo voltage. I can set an alarm to tell me the low cutoff voltage I haven't decided on yet. I was thinking that I could have opentx or er9x announce the low cutoff but also kill throttle at 6v as a backup. I'm thinking of a mix that includes an override toggle switch so I can rearm the throttle to limp back to shore. The final voltages will be adjusted after a test run watching the voltage drop.
I have the Frsky divider I plan to use in the A2 port.
I could use some mix ideas to start with.
This maybe be of use for other projects where lipo's/life's are substituted for Nimh/nicad packs

SM,

These mixes and CSV should do what you want. Set up the alarms and warnings to suit your fancy. This is a Taranis profile in OpenTx file.

I'm sorry I haven't reported back. Things came up that pulled me away from RC unexpectedly.
I will give your mix a try ASAP.
Thank you again.
