Turnigy Firmware

Post by dwewbone »

Does anyone have the New Turnigy firmware version 2? I have tried the firmware that is posted here but it does not work. I just get the blank screaming meanie.
I am using the smartie board to program with.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To reload the stock firmware you need both the flash and eeprom files. Did you load both?

Yes I did, they are both in the zip file. I also did it in the order specified. Flash first then eeprom. I either get a blank screen or the screaming one.

Which version of the SP board do you have? If you have Rev 2.2 or later, you need to have the radio powered on for flashing, if you have an older one power should be off.

OK, then make sure you have the radio powered on when flashing.

Yes it is powered on. I either get the eeprom error or just a blank screen. It will flash everything correct but the original firmware.

This is normal, eepe can't read the format of the stock firmware's eeprom, only the one from er9x.

Figured it out. I am new to this stuff. I just flashed the eeprom using flash EEPROM to TX first, then used Write Flash Memory for the hex. All is back to normal.
Thanks for the input hope this helps someone.
