did you follow the instructions as posted on the link ?
To reload this on the radio you will first need to flash the radio with the .hex file, and them right after with the .eep file.
You have to flash the .hex with write flash,
After the .hex flash you will hear just a beep and a error, you then have to flash the .eep file with write eeprom.

Just rename the .eep file to .bin
Go to Burn->Write EEPROM Memory from file.
Choose your recently renamed file and press ok.

That's it.

Right click, rename .....if using windowzzzz and you don't show file extinctions you may have to enable it before you can rename the extension part ....Google "show file extensions in windows [insert version you use]"

Ok, ok...

Now I think I screwed everything!
I was reloading original firmware in OSX 10.7 but didn't load epee right after hex as I didn't know the trick of renaming epee to bin file !
Now everything I try gives an error. Can't upload neither epee or Hex files back to TX! Not even ER9X again.
Did I brick it?

I am 99% sure you did not brick it.
However; I'm not sure I understand what you did and what you are trying to do.

Are you trying to load er9x? The original FW?
In any case, what you should do is:
1) Open eepe.
2) Goto Burn ->Flash Firmware to Tx
3) Choose the .hex file.
4) press OK.

If you are trying to flash the original FW:
5) Rename the .eep file to .bin.
6) In eepe goto Burn->Write EEPROM Memory from File
7) Choose the .eep file

That's it.

I've taken the liberty of messing with the file Rob Posted.
I renamed the .eep file to .bin and all is well.

Re: original firmware

I made a mess yesterday, late night, tired...

What I did was load the .hex file then renamed the epe file to epee instead of bin.
Obvious it didn't work.
After that I tried everything, switch the TX off and back on and tried everything again, but now every time I try to load the .hex file I get the window showing that "AVRDUDE did not finish correctly".
On TX lcd it shows "EEPROM ERROR!" and the beep keep screaming continuously.
And on AVRDUDE window shows "AVRDUDE done - exit code 1"

Same thing happens if I try to write EEPROM memory from file (the renamed .bin)

And this is off topic but I keep getting the message that a new version of EEPE r339 is available but can't find it to download.

Found the problem!
Somehow I miss configured the avrdude adress when I did all the mess.
Went to configuration and on AVRDUDE location placed "/usr/local/bin/avrdude"
Now everything is fine and my ER9X is back to be just a mortal 9X.
: )
Thanks for the help guys!

I tried all the advice in this thread and none worked until I read the above. Worked fine. Thanks.
