Hi guys, I need to upgrade this radio a little bit. So far I replaced a potentiometer with a 6 position switch, and I also replaced AIL, RUD, ELE and GEA with three position switches.
I wonder if it is possible to fit 4 push buttons at the back of the radio like some of us did with the 9xtreme.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Add push buttons to the 9XR Pro.
I think that if you have already used the "spare" digital inputs to upgrade the switches to 3-pos, there are no more digital inputs left, although that may depend on how you changed the ELE switch. What are your settings in the HARDWARE menu for the 3-pos switches?
There are, however, two spare analog inputs (unless one was used for the ELE switch). You may be able to make use of these.
Do you have anything connected to J16? This is, I think, configured for a rotary encoder, although to use it for anything else would need a firmware change.

Hi Mike, I followed this tutorial back in the day when it was published:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qwi01ZlkJOc
Anyway I took a look at the hardware screen and it says:
ELE - ANA
THR - NONE
RUD - LCD7
AIL - DAC 1
GEA - LCD 6
PB1 - NONE
PB2 - NONE
PB3 - NONE
PB4 - NONE
POT 4 - NONE
POT 5 - NONE
Hope it brings you all the info you need

Since you have used the ANA option to do the ELE switch, you have 2 spare digital inputs, LCD2 and the original ELE signal, so you may use these to add two push buttons.

Perfect, 2 push switches are better than none.
I opened my 9x radio one trillion times, but the 9xr pro only once like 6 years ago. Is something written in the PCB or is there something I have to look for?
I guess positive will go to the board and negative somewhere else.

Re: Add push buttons to the 9XR Pro.
The ELE switch went to J3, pin 7. To use this for a push button, just connect this signal to one side and the other side to ground.
To use LCD2, connect one side of the push button to ground and the other side to a resistor (3K9 to 4K7) and wire the other side of the resistor to the LCD2 connection.
