I am considering moving over to Open9x. So before doing so I decided to play with Companion9X and I hit upon a problem when simulating any of my models made with Eepe. The 'beep' button keeps coming on showing a lovely shade of red/pink regardless of what I did, and that included removing all of my settings, so that I had effectively a blank canvas.
Can anyone help? What is that 'beep' button all about?

Re: Beep With File Made With Eepe
I have a beep for low battery in the simulator...
Which firmware version have you selected ?
Please note that apart "simulate model" you have also "Simulate TX" under your model list.

Re: Beep With File Made With Eepe
I am using the latest Companion9x. I haven't flashed the transmitter yet. I am leaving that when I sort out what this beep is about and why it is flashing at me.
Simulate TX - I cannot see anything in Companion that gives you any options in the way you describe. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong things.

Re: Beep With File Made With Eepe
In your file, in General Settings, the low battery warning is set to 10.9V. But the "fake" battery voltage sent to the simulator is 10.6V as you can see on the virtual screen. So the virtual beeping is the virtual radio warning you of low battery.
Set your battery warning lower, or ignore the "beeping".

Thanks Kilrah. That was it!
How do you get to see the fake battery voltage? As I cannot find a screen showing that.,

Re: Beep With File Made With Eepe
The fake voltage is set at compilation time, in the emulated firmware there is no option to set it.
About simulate tx: have a look under the list of models in the eeprom

All understood. Thanks.. Now to get down to playing with it all for real..
although I have to ask as to why a fake battery was set up?

Re: Beep With File Made With Eepe
Because the emulator is the real firmware, so without setting a fake battery you will always get a low battery alarm
We just set it too low for you...

Re: Beep With File Made With Eepe
Romolo, perhaps we could set 110v or 220v depending on the IMPERIAL option?
