It would be impossible for me to ever fly with an Horus. That damn thing is so ugly I would have to wear a bag over my head and wouldn't be able to see either screen, switches, pots, sliders, whatever. Maybe that's why Flaps wants switches/buttons on the sticks.

Re: 9x battery cover replacement.
I think FrSky needs to make improved replacement battery covers available real soon. The cover on my Taranis is not very secure at all. The locking tabs are too small as you mention.

Flaps, To help you in your future career as a tabloid author I suggest you don't restrain your prose. Flush out your offerings with redundant superlatives such as "inundate", "overwhelm", "total domination", "completely destroy", and so forth. Suggested new eB...

Re: Scramble Scramble - here they come!
Well, I don't expect a "deluge" of eBay Taranis offerings because there are so few that have actually been delivered. There are always the odd few trying to turn a buck/quid and if they find a buyer then there are two happy folk.

Mike, You probably didn't read the instructions! Just kidding, you know that. There is an issue with drivers for some users/computers/whatever. I'm not savvy enough to identify the problem, but a change of some sort has to be made to resolve it to an iron-clad plug and play method before t...

Thanx for that! I was tinking with a model that had only 1 curve defined so there was no change in the display when I ticked other curves and I couldn't find anything researching elsewhere.

No confusing the instructions at all. I went through the process detailed by FrSky with the failures I have described knowing nothing about the "openTx" method until you suggested that way. I then followed your directions explicitly and that also failed repeatedly. No, I didn't confuse or ...

Re: Can't flash Taranis...
Can we clarify something. This is not frsky's way of doing things. They use their own method in the product manual they provide. This is companion9x's way of doing it. Curiously - it has worked first time for me on three different computers! Rob That's all well and good except I began this goat rop...

Sheesh... I misspoke. I'm not a geek (by a long shot), just a nerd. I just now spent too much time once again following Kilrah's instructions from Friday. I downloaded the file in the link to my companion9x folder, unzipped it, completed the installation instructions and LO, there appeared the STM32...

Not to mention the fashion statement you will bring to the slopes! Methinks I'll take a pass.

Re: Can't flash Taranis...
If you have a problem then ask, instead of spending days on it... Connect the radio, go to the device manager, In USB bus controllers from what you say you should have "STM Device in DFU Mode". Right click on that, choose update driver, "No, not this time" about searching online...

OK. Three more hours of mostly ridding my 'puter of some unwanted junk created by a pgm I loaded as a possible workaround to record some sounds, then some more fiddling with my audio panel and I now have it working!
Thanx to everyone and especially João for the help.

Darn it! I've spent an hour trying every possible configuration of audio host and input device but am not getting any input to Audacity from Windows. System volumes and Audacity record volume are ~80%. I start recording and then the voice but nada. Any suggestions?
