flashing the HK Multi-Rotor Control Board

Electronic projects that are either related to the firmwares for the 9x, or simply great for radio control applications.

flashing the HK Multi-Rotor Control Board

Post by rperkins »

Hi
Due to HK not having any USBASP programmers to ship to their customers at this time, I am getting questions about the ability to flash these devices with the usbasp programmers I sell on http://9xrprogrammer.com. I've looked at the specs and pics of the boards and have been telling people 'YES'. However I dont have any of these boards so am asking here to get more information. Is there anything I should be aware of using a generic usbasp such as mine, with the KK multicopter flash tool, and the HK Multi Rotor control boards.

This is the one most people are asking about
The HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V3.0 (Atmega328 PA)
one of their older versions
HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V2.1 (Atmega168PA)

There is a dedicated tool that is popular. I downloaded it and it does see the usbasp device. This flashing utility is open source, java based, although I didnt see a link for the source (It's probably there I just missed it ) This tool supports a LOT of different programmers, might be something to consider for c9x, but I digress.
KKmulticopter Flash Tool

And lastly , my site where I offer USBASP programmers with real open source firmware.
http://9xrprogrammer.com

thanks for any insight using this combination of RC hardware, usbasp hardware, and flashing software.
