Setup:
Turnigy 9x with FrSky DJT module installed and smartieparts card installed, flashed with er9x mod (not gruvin9x and no soldering for telemetry data done yet). Receiver is FrSky D8R II Plus.
CH1 AL
CH2 EL
CH3 THR
CH4 RUD
Using mode 4 on controls ( A - T on the left stick. E - R on the right stick)
Pre-flight check is right. Launch the easy star II and the controls are working ok, except when I minimize the throttle at high altitude it stays on about 1/8 power. Once I land (crash), the throttle returns to off in the minimum position. I did not have this issue with the stock module in the 9x T/x. Anybody have an idea as to why this is happening? Did I miss something in the setup of the FrSky?

Re: Throttle stays on when minimized
You may need to calibrate your esc.
"Most" do this my starting the esc with the throttle at full. It will then beep a bit and not start the motor. Then move throttle to lowest point.
The esc should then arm, and know your upper and lower throttle limits.

Rob, that seems to work. As I mentioned in the original post I did not have this problem with the stock receiver. I'll remember and use your suggestion in the future. Thanks for the help.

Re: Throttle stays on when minimized
The procedure should really be used on any ESC when you first use it.
The ESC's usually have a 'default' setting that works with most systems - but not guaranteed. The only way is to calibrate it to suit your radio!
Unfortunately most BNF models and ESCs that I have received recently fail to include the instructions.

Isn't this discussion a little be OT in this thread ??
Re: Throttle stays on when minimized
Hmm calibrating was the solution to the OP's problem, no?
Re: Throttle stays on when minimized
lol I think it should be moved to the er9x threads
