Installing on an old TX with some mods

Post by marcuslankenau »

Hi there,

I got a 2nd hand 9x and the 9xtreme. There is one part (maybe a voltage regulator?) removed and replace with a hack, see the screenshot. I read that the 9x comes with its own voltage regulator. Now I think that it might be better to remove the part, that is stuck with wires and hotglue and then install the 9xtreme that is powering the 9x cpu. Does that make sense or should I leave the part where it is? Sorry cant read any markings on the part.

The programmer interface is obviously the first thing to remove.

Thx for you help :)

Marcus

I think that is the 3.3V regulator for the display, so will need to stay.

Thx Mike for responding so fast. I move the hacked part so that is not below the 9xtreme and everything works fine now.
