Re: Convert PWM to Voltage for RSSI
So Rob, What you want is the RSSI value displayed through some kind of OSD. You are using the receiver in normal mode PWM outputs on all channels, not the PPMsum and RSSI output. What you want is to transmit the RSSI value from the Tx to the Rx on an unused channel. My first thought for doing this w...

The nano QX uses a momentary switch to select between safe and acro modes. So I put mine on the trainer switch.

Sure, just save your settings to a file. And then you can upload it here. There is a section specifically just for templates, it would be best to put it in there.

There is a helicopter section in the templates forum here. There are plenty of setups there for whatever you need. Flybarless basically sets up like an airplane. Re: Toy RC Helicopter Kills Teenager
On a side note about fail safe: the best setup for a helicopter is to cut the motor, stop piroing, and go to zero pitch. Zero pitch because you don't know what orientation it will be in when the link loss occurs, so it will at least stop pushing the heli around.

Mike b had set up a mix once, which was then used to turn on a timer. This have the person a timer that counted down with a rate proportional to the throttle stick position. I'm only on my phone, so I can't do the search. It should be in here somewhere.

Showmaster,
You do have custom switches that you could set to activate above or below a point on the slider. Then just use the custom switch in the trainer menu.

Re: 9X glitch?
It is still possible that reboots occur with the m64 chip. Really they should occur the same as with other processors. Testing just shows that it doesn't happen, at least not as much. Still a good idea to do the mod anyway, then you know the possibility is gone.

Re: Question re instant trim function
If I remember correctly the trim is only changed when the switch it turned on. So you don't need a momentary switch. So you can use the THR switch instead if you like. I just simulated this through companion, and it works like I said. Trim changes when the switch is turned on, insta trim is not reac...

Software wise I know the trims are solid and cause no noticable delay. At one point it did, but has since been fixed. Would more likely be the horizontal trim issue that Jhsa mentioned. The fix for that is covered in another thread on this forum. I still want to know about the antenna installation, ...

How is your antenna installed in your plane? It's it away from everything it possibly can be? Also like jhsa I'm interested in your range check. There is no range check mode in the stock module so you would have to walk quite a distance.

Bryan, go back to post #86 of this thread. Mike B points out that there is no digital ground for the horizontal trims. When one is switched this causes the voltage to ring from very high to very low. This seems to cause the reset. For unknown reasons the m64 is unaffected.

You didn't mention what tx/rx module you are using?? What you would need is a way to get the telemetry data to the computer. There are projects like this one which use bluetooth to get the telemetry data from an Frsky module into an Android phone. Maybe that will give you some ideas.

Showmaster, He installed a DHT, so that is the internal module. No dip switches, he simply has a toggle switch. Your DHT is working fine. In 1-way mode, binding, the module doesn't beep. In 2-way mode it does beep, about once per second. You will also notice that at power on, non-binding, in 2-way m...

Re: Help with connecting voltage sensor to D4R II
I don't have mine in front of me, but I think I see the problem.
In the volt ratio, that isn't 4:1 that is 4:1 for A1; and 1:1 for A2. Try setting the second number also to 4 and see if that works.

As the CPx is a flybarless helicopter make sure you don't use the heli mixers (CYCx). For a flybarless system you should use straight AIL, ELE, RUD.

Re: Throttle/pitch curve
Take the point on you 0-100 curve, multiply the value by 2, then subtract 100. For example 50 is the point on your 0-100 curve, you know this will end up at 0. So 50*2=100; 100-100 = 0.

Re: Blade nano cpx
blade / spektrum stuff uses about 80% of the range in er9x. So change all of your limits to +-80. Also in the PPM settings change the ppm delay to 400us, some people have found this helps with the channel centering.
