Orange modded Multimodule DSMx Telemetry

Post by Zaphod69 »

As I'm slowly coming to grips with the 9XR Pro I thought I'd have a little fiddle with the Telemetry menu. Switched the protocol to DSMx, scrolled through the screens, didn't understand any of it, exited the menu and fired up the Nano QX for a few laps.

Finished the first lipo, unplugged.....and the Pro says "No Telemetry".

First up - I've got no experience with Telemetry.
Secondly - never knew the Nano QX sent any (but a reading on the lipo voltage would be nice).

From what I've read tho to receive Telemetry I'd need to mod the transmitter and need sensors connected to the Rx. Is that correct or can I indeed get a battery level from the QX?

The 9XR-PRO supports telemetry for the Orange module flashed to MULTI protocol without needing any modifications.
Go to the Telemetry menu and set the Usr Proto to DSMx, to correctly receive DSM type telemetry. You will then get an extra telemetry screen that shows some DSM specific telemetry values.
I hae no idea what telemetry the Nano QX might be sending, it might only be fades/losses information.
