Just got two of the new 4 channel rx's from micro technics.
Very nice!
Full telemetry hub; plus a1 for rx built in, and a2 for the likes of way vario!
I am berry happy. Now I can get a vario in my mini dlg gliders

Re: D4R II
The other recent injury report involved a runaway where the flier tried to reach in and unplug the battery on a quad running full speed. (You do not want to search for the pictures.) The conclusion is to always wear safety glasses and keep a towel at hand to smother the chopper if needed.
I'd also keep the props off when fiddling, as I do with my plane.

You just don't expect that your multi rotor turns itself on when you plug the battery in..
Mines will start being turned upside down on a flat surface when I plug the battery.. the problem is normally when we plug it, is difficult to hold it..

Re: D4R II
I always test a configuration without props, but mine didn't arm it. Multiwii 2.0.
And I had an other problem with it:
Plugging it the right way it sometimes only outputs 110khz pulses. My multiwii was constant rebooting.
I contacted frsky and after a couple mails they said that I should only use 6 channels for now until they sort it out!
The problem:

Re: D4R II
I recently got several of the new 4ch RX's as well and wired one up to use with my WS HHigh.
I had to power the HH so I made a mini Y cable to keep the cable clutter and weight down. The HH came pre programmed for Frsky and uses standard servo connectors to get power and output data. I also made a custom adapter to use the viltage divider. I think I'll try and buy some more pigtail cables that fit the mini rx data ports. Any idea of a source? I don't think Frsky sells extra cables or I missed it.
I've not flown all this yet but on the bench everything is working and displaying like my 8ch RX's.
Next is to use the other one as a test for a wireless trainer setup but I put that in hold when I read about the latency issue doing this.
The posting of the trainer mixer that goes in the plane by HK may be a better way to go?
I hope someone will purchase one and report on it soon.
More wires and an extra RX but two of these 4ch RX's are small.

I assume you didn't connect your PPM cable to the RSSI output, did you?Peter wrote:I always test a configuration without props, but mine didn't arm it. Multiwii 2.0.

The 6-channel thing is related to the loss of sync problem I reported: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=582&p=7763&hilit=multicopter#p7748
But I've never seen that output you show there... Haven't used my D4RIIs yet though.
Re: D4R II
At first I did because the docs where wrong at first. But my oscilloscope pointed that one out fast.Kilrah wrote: I assume you didn't connect your PPM cable to the RSSI output, did you?

And it wouldn't be great to have that signal from the rssi to. Should be a nice squarewave.
I have never seen that output before too.
The rssi gave a nice waveform at the same time by the way.
