Hi! I have just installed the 9xtreme in my flysky th9xb radio, I have also updated the firmware to the last version (Rev218 for the 9xtreme)
After that I donwloaded the sound files from there and I put them in the SD card and got no sound, and also tried other link from somewhere here in the forum but still got no sound.

Any tip out there?

Thanks!

Downloaded the files from there? Where? Er9x.com?
How did you put them on the SD Card?
Please make sure there is a folder called "voice".
Inside this folder you should find 3 other folders. "System, user and modelNames".

Does your radio beep when you move the trims?

Yes, I have downloaded the audio pack from er9x.com and I think I put the files in the sd card as you said. And I dont have trimmer sounds neither...

Anyway I will try to do it again as soon as I arrive home in a couple of hours, and see what happens. Thanks!

Please check first if the radio beeps. Just move the trim switches.. that will tell us if you have sound at all..
Also, in radio setup/audioHaptic there is a volume setting.

In Model Setup/General you can assign a pot to control the volume. Please check if there is a pot assigned and is at minimum. That would turn the volume completely down..

Well, Im back at home.

The radio does not beep, I move the 4 trim switches and it does not make any sound.

In radio, audio haptic I have
Volume 23 (That is the maximum)
Beeper Norm
Beep countdown OFF
Minute beep OFF
SPeaker pitch 100
Haptic Strength 5
Haptic Min Run 40

Also I took a look to model setup and I saw there was a pot for the sounds. I played with it and still got no sound.

About the SD Card, I also download the sound pack from this link: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7715
And I put the files as you told me.

Any clue?

Yes, that is the pack to be used..

You need to check your speaker is well connected and working.
Don't you hear absolutely no noise from the speaker, not even a buzzing sound?

Speaker is well conected but I dont heard anything. Anyway I found a thread here in the forum with some clues, and the guy that was having problems fixed it formating the SD Card to fat32. Im doing that right now and we will see what happens.

The Computer recognises the SD Card when in bootloader mode, and also the Radio says the card is ready...

Ok back. SD Card formated to FAT32 with the slow format, files back in the SD Card and still no welcome or trim sounds...

The SD Card is detected in bootloader mode and in the normal mode it says is still present and ready.

The question about the trim sounds was because they do not require the SD card. So if you have no trim beeps it is pointless to try playing with the card, if the settings are correct your issue comes from the hardware (speaker badly connected, speaker or board defective).

Another quick update, I tried with the SD Card from my 9XR PRO and still does not work.

I see.. The radio is brand new, just bought it couple of weeks ago and I did not use it because I did not want to mess with the crappy stock software...

But it beeped everytime I pressed a button.

The 9Xtreme does not use the radio's stock beeper but the speaker that comes bundled with it and needs to be installed/connected.

So, a new question, and an old question.

Did you install the speaker that comes with the 9xtreme?

If so, do you hear any buzzing sound when you turn the radio ON and your ear is close to the speaker?

Please post a picture of your board and speaker installation.

When I said I did not heard anythink, I mean I did not heard that buzz too, but hey, I think I found the problem... I checked the speaker conector 10.000 thousand times, but not the speaker itself... Then I saw this:

Image
The positive is not connected and the speaker's board seems to be broken.

I installed everything with extreme caution, so I dont think I broke it, but well, it might be my fault. Do you think I can fix it myself or do I need to buy another speaker? Tips welcome.

This is the board by the way:

Ok. i thought it would be something like that :) Good that you found it..
I am not sure you can repair it. Depends if the thin wire that comes from the coil is also broken. Can't really see it.
Maybe you can contact Steven, but those speakers are so cheap..

Update: I wrote Steven about how to fix it, but we saw that it was broken beyond repair, so he is going to send me a spare one.

Excelent technical support. :)
