thr & ail switches not working after reflash

Hi all, I have just reflashed to the latest er version 753 frsky NHT.
I have the Fr sky DJT external module, but have not yet modified the TX for telemetery.

After flashing both the THR and AIL stitches are on, and will not switch off?
Am I missing something obvious here? it seems unlikely there's a physical fault with the switches,that just happened to develop at the same time, so is this an issue with using the frsky module before modifying it?

To use the FrSky telemetry you have to re-wire those two switches to different pins, see the wiki, in order to free off the serial port on the processor to connect to the DJT.
If you haven't done the mod, then the switches are not connected to the pins the code is looking at.
