Hello micha3l19.

Trying to give an answer. Your main look will be on battery cell voltage. The 2000 mAh battery is a 6 cell battery.

A fully fresh charged NiMh cell shows around 1.5 volts and I remember a recommendation for TX batteries not to go below 1.1 volts.

So that should be your span FULL <-> LOW. (~9 volts (which drops very fast after disconnecting the charger leads) <-> 6.6 volts)

As my Taranis has the same size battery as my Multiplex Pro, I stick to the recommendation from Multiplex
and have the battery alarm set on 7.0 volt. I am happy with that.

I charge my TX batteries here with a Junsi charger set to 1/10 C, i.e. 200 mA.

I charge my radio batteries always outside the TX. I have spare batteries and a charged set is always lying on the shelf.

Today with low self-discharge NiMH batteries that is no problem ;)

Thanks for that info. The reason why i ask is that i have my battery meter range at 6.5-8v but when i leave it to charge(internally) the battery passes the 8v limit(8.2v) and more.

Thats why i wounder what the internal limit is doing if it passes the 8v i set it to be? After leaving it charging for a while the battery starts to get very hot.

Therefore I charge external with my Junsi with 0.2 A. More gentle on the battery.

It is normal, that while charging, the battery gets warm, but it should not be hot.

I attach a picture of my two Taranis batteries with the charging lead below. Simple like that ...

Thanks for the info. Its a shame the internal charger doesn't do a better job.
