For er9x, go to http://code.google.com/p/er9x/source/br ... vn%2Ftrunk and read the file 'changelog.txt'. This has a summary of the changes done for each commit.

Only very occasionally does a revision have a real problem that upsets things. You should be safe to get the latest revision. If there is a problem, you should be able to revert to a previous revision until it is fixed. Always worth saving your EEPROM before flashing a new revision, then, if you need to go back, you have both the flash and the EEPROM available to put everything back as it was.
