Updating splash of ER9X 128 corrupts HEX.

Hi,

I was flashing the latest release 806 for ER9x and as usual I swapped the logo.
But after flashing it doesn't work, the radio doesn't even start. So it seems that it somehow corrupts the FW.

The EEPE seems to read/write correctly the splash in the HEX file but somehow it is corrupting the HEX.
For example when load the image from the HEX and saving it back no change made the file changes from 181k to 156k.

Any idea what might it be?
Previously I had release 803 also for Atmega128 and I was able to do change correctly.

The file size change is probably a change to the record size from 16 bytes to 32 bytes.
You can check this by looking at the hex file (it's just text). The smaller file is likely to have longer lines, so less overhead.

I'll look into the splash change problem.

Sorry, I've been a bit busy, just got round to looking into this. It seems there is something hardcoded for a 64K program in the splash update. Now that the '128 version uses more than 64K this needs fixing, working on it!

After switching to m2561 it seems to me that there is a similar problem.

When customizing the splash screen my TH9X will not start at all.
Reading the splash image from the original downloaded hex eepe shows nothing proper.

This should work provided you use eepe r392.

Hi Mike,

I have this problem with either r392 and r393.

"Load from hex" from the downloaded r809 hex file shows the following:

splash.jpg (38.92 KiB) Viewed 7448 times

The original file works great in the TH9X, but with the modified file TH9X doesn't start.
