Help - Template needed for Vtail Glider
Am new to the Taranis, desperately need to set up a model with V-tail and crow braking using throttle to activate the crow, no switches. Please can anybody help.

Re: Help
How many servos in your wing? I assume four?

Re: Help - Template needed for Vtail Glider
Right.
Attached is a file containing the basics of two standard glider setups.
CrowVTail - Crow, Snapflap, Camber Control, VTail
CrowTTail - Crow, Snapflap, Camber Control
General info as follows:
-
The config is relatively straight forward - So 4 servo wings, rudder, elevator.
Now.. you will need to pay attention to a few things I have done as part of my pre-setup. This helps reduce mix count and makes things simpler to work with.
You will note that I have used high channel mixing to my advantage.
=== CH13 ===
This is a mix that I have called 'neutral'. You will note that is uses the source of MAX @ 0%.
The reason I have done this is to allow me a single source in which I can control the entire wing planform. So all up/down at the same time. It garuantees me a solid neutral point.
You will note that the first mix on CH3-6 is the source of CH13, with the direction of travel sorted out.
The result of this approach is that I can add snap flap and camber to CH13. Everything else just slaves off this so the exact camber/values are easy to manage.
=== CH10 ===
This is not really needed, but I find it usefull for example and personal ease of programing.
You will note that CH10 is simply taking the AIL input.
CH3-6 simply take this input, and use it to provide a master total mix of 100%.
On channel 3-6 I then adjust the weight to suit my servo configs so that the trailing edges stay together when the ailerons and flaps move.
=== CH15 ===
Note that this mix has a compensation value on it for the V-Tail. Simply adjust to suit your model. It allows you to vary the amount of pitch that occurs when rudder is applied!
Hope this helps.

Try downloading from here: (http://www.er9x.com/)
Eepe/eepskye (revision 422)
click on: "eepe and eepskye for Windows"
Then "Save File" and then go to where file is saved.
Note: I do not get it as a zip file.
Just click on "eePeInstall" to install.

That file is for openTx, you would need to open it in companion to see what the settings are.

It's also 5 years old, so very possible it breaks with current versions.

Bob, Mike, Kilrah
Thanks for the help
Downloaded Companion to open Robs file and deciphered his mix (some messages about old versions - but I ignored these)
Now I need to work on transferring this to ErSky (9Xtreme)
many thanks guys - keep up the good work
