I can´t find any schematics for the 9XR.
Anyone else know something?
And what kind of lcd will suit the motherboard?

The LCD on the 9XR has a unique connection , the 9x LCD or the optrex LCD , have slightly different connections for
the LCD charge pump driver. , I do not know of any direct replacements...
I'll ask HK if they plan on selling them separate.

Now i got an answer from Skyfox60.
He says that if you search ebay for:

12864 128X64 Graphic ( COG ) LCD Module Display / LCM)
The sellers nick is egochina8848
It´s listed for 12.80$
Then you will find a LCD with the right properties but wrong size ,a tiny bit.
The wires for the backlight also needs to be swapped.
Any comments , thoughts , anyone , Brent

Hi ,
You need a LCD that will work with this pinout
Pin 1 location is not standard on all ribbon cables , also you need the contacts facing down.

If we could get a spare connector of that type, that is used on the Tgy9x board, shouldn't we be able to unsolder the 'wrong' connector and resolder the correct one? (similar to changing the CPU). And use the spare displays that are available for the Tgy9x.
But how is such a connector called and where to find?

The stock 9x lcd will not work , the pin out is slightly different

Stock 9x lcd CAN be used with 9XR board. Connection is the same. BUT!!! you need move the connector one step to the right. it's not easy with 0.5mm pitch connector.

It looks easier to me just cut 0.5mm from the flat cable (as the last pin is not used) and just shift the flat cable rather than moving the connector...
