Extra inputs

Post by vestbo »

As I can see the turnigy 9x have a Atmega64 in it..
The Atmega64 has like 53 I/O ??
If so, there must be possible to ass some more switches or pots to the transmitter running er9x ?

I don't think that will help you much.

It would help us to help you, if you could tell us what you are trying to do and what you are looking for. There is many ways to do things as you may already be aware of.

FYI
I don't want to start rumors but maybe give SkyNorth an email or pm and see what he has left in stock. The sky board it a super upgrade to a 9x if he has any and not $175-200 for a new Taranis when they're in stock,
I believe he had a few in reserve when I last chatted with him but not enough to make them available on his site in quantity.
First come first served.
I really enjoy mine and so do a few fellow club members. I just converted one to 16 ch for a b17 project for a member.
The ersky9x FW is supported in c9x and eepeskye. There is a version of open9x/tx I believe but I haven't loaded it.

Depending on what you want to do, there is the telemetrEZ board that has some available IO pins on it. http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=994

The thing I want to do, is to ass a joystick in the back of my transmitter for pan/tilt, without using any of the existing pots.

As Ghost said, the T-EZ might do the job. I think the developers could "slide in" the support for an extra gimbal?? ;) :)

Even with the sky board, someone would have to add the extra programming for the new inputs. Some of the inputs on the Tez can be analog.
