Trouble Uploading Templates

Post by dedstik »

Guys, I need some help with a problem I have when trying to use uploaded templates from this site's library.

I am using OpenTX and Companion9x and a 9Xr Tx.

I can upload most templates and mixes fine.
I can save them and then open them with Companion 9X and view the mixes and simulation.

However there are some templates that will not simulate after I have up-loaded them and saved them. There are no mixes shown when
I try to view them.

When I check the properties of the saved file on my PC I see that the file size matches what is shown in the author's description.

What am I missing here?

TIA for any thoughts.

The ones you have problems with were most likely created with eepe. there are some incompatibilities between the two.

Well, the best is to use eePe instead of companion9x unless you have reflashed your radio to openTx. If you use er9x or the stock 9xr firmware, you'll prefer using eePe.

Can you post the file that causes trouble here?

Oh, and no need to post in 3 different places, it just creates duplicate or spread answers.

I meant, the 9XR COMES WITH er9x. there's no such thing as "Stock 9XR Firmware" so the phrase "er9x or the stock 9xr firmware" makes no sense ;) :D

No it's a _modified_ version of er9x that people usually call the stock 9xr firmware...
It has already caused quite a bit of confusion from newbies, so at least it's clear that way :)
