Companion - A usefull feature

Post by Rob Thomson »

So...

I have been observing recently that allot of noobs do not understand conceptually how to setup a firmware profile; which firmware to choose; what options etc etc...

So...

Seems to me it may be worth having a 'first run' setup wizard.

So.. when you first ever install the software, you get guided through a wizard that helps you select the firmware you need (that matches your board) and helps configure the ports options for flashing.

While this will not be perfect; it will certainly help first timers get up and running quickly.

Anyone think this is a good idea?

Slope Soaring, FPV, and pretty much anything 'high tech'
...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

I agree, let's see (time allowing) how to implement something beginner proof.

I second that (would have helped me with my little pebkac error a while back), and would be happy to help after I have learned the program well enough
