unable to use Gprog on Gruvin9x board

hello guys i installed my gruvin9x board and so far it works fine but when i tried to use the Gprog i get this message

avrdude.exe: Device signature = 0x1e9801
avrdude.exe: Expected signature for ATMEGA64 is 1E 96 02
Double check chip, or use -F to override this check.

avrdude.exe done. Thank you.



the green led is on and in my devices i see usbasp device, but it's not communicating with the computer.
i need help

you need to select a open9x for gruvinv4 under preferences in companion.

Thanks, i did what you said and it worked. once
i read the flash memory, after that i got the following message when i tried to write firmware to TX

Started AVRDUDE

latest news on my issue is as follows:
i plugged the 6 pin connector from a sparkfun attiny board that i used to mod
another 9x and it works flawlessly, maybe the Gprog itself has a problem.
time to send it back for a replacement?

Have a look to soldering it's very strange...
It answer (it's recognized as an usbasp) so it's unlike that's broken.
