With much help from "gohsthb" and many others here, I'm in the late stages of converting my EXI 500 (mostly Align trex 500) to fbl. I've installed the Hobby Mate FBL head (DFC clone), and the Hobby Mate 3 axis gyro (Micro Beast clone). I'm finishing up the programming, and I'll be ready to spin-up in the next few days. My concern is that the main blade grips are only about a quarter of an inch above the anti-rotation bracket. Is this going to be a problem? Looks pretty scary that close.

500 FBL DFC rotor head
Re: 500 FBL DFC rotor head
DFC is used with a much shorter main shaft. I don't remember the antirotation bracket is different or not. You can check with max collective pitch (max + and max - )and cyclic pitch on the ground and spin the head/blade with hand (disconnect your motor wire 1st). You should be able to tell it is going to be a problem or not.
