Slow flaps (servo slow - delay)

Programming your 9x using the stock firmware that comes with the radio. (Note. This is for the th9x, not the X9R)

Slow flaps (servo slow - delay)

Post by romandesign »

How can I program servo slow on 3-position switch flaps? I have managed to program 3-pos flaps nicely (slaved to gear channel as advised on this forum), but I'd like them to expand slowly and not jumping around. If I just switch plugs, how then to assign new channel to throttle lever if ch3 is used for slow flaps?

Have you tried the SLOW option in the mix?

I'm on stock firmware. Can't justify buying additional hardware to change firmwares. Stock should be good enough for me, even if I can't make slow flaps :-) I'm a relative beginner, stepped up from basic 4ch non-programmable radio. This seems huge! So far I can see everything I need and much more even on stock firmware with exception of this servo slow feature.

Is $5 really too much? Even to go from a $50 radio to the equivalent of a $1000 radio?

I'm a newcomer to this forum, but wiki here says that $45-$50 programming hardware is needed to do this, not including shipping. If I could get ability to flash firmware for $5 with shipping I would for sure consider it. Does it exist?

The $45-50 (that actually went down to $35 now) are for the solderless smartieparts programmer. If you're ready to solder 6 wires in your radio (on easily accessible pads) then this is enough:

Well, it's $5 plus probably $10 shipping and I have to solder to CPU legs... I don't want to mess with it just for slowing flaps, but I understand the appeal.

No legs, only pads for flashing. Legs are for telemetry.
And shipping, well, you'd just throw the thing in an order you do anyway :D

But I understand your point too ;)

i gotta say. After having my 9x modded, i couldn't live without it. And now with telemetry and voice i couldn't use any other radio either even if the hardware is not the best quality. João
