X8R Fail Safe activation and deactivation
X8R Fail Safe activation and deactivation
I am trying to understand how an X8R receiver activates and deactivates Fail Safe mode. Does the receiver enter Fail Safe mode anytime RSSI falls below 38dB? How long does the low RSSI condition need to persist to activate Fail Safe mode? Will the receiver leave Fail Safe mode if the RSSI improves above 38dB? How long does good RSSI need to persist in order to get the receiver out of Fail Safe mode and return control to the pilot?
Re: X8R Fail Safe activation and deactivation
Doesn't have anything to do with RSSI, only about whether valid packets are actually received. If none is received for 1 second failsafe is triggered.
Re: X8R Fail Safe activation and deactivation
Thank you very much for your reply. May I assume that if valid packets are received for 1 second, then fail safe mode will be deactivated?

Re: X8R Fail Safe activation and deactivation
Failsafe is deactivated as soon as a valid packet is received, no waiting time.
