Original X9D (not plus version) LCD

LCD screen finally gave up but the X9D-plus replacements are not compatible. Frsky say it is a customised part no longer available. I am currently using the radio simulator in Companion to mirror the steps onto the X9D to change models/make trim adjustments etc. Other than the screen everything has been perfect and shame to throw it out. Any ideas?
