Teensy + Crossfire (or other module)

Hi all, just making sure I'm not reinventing the wheel here.

I've got an old controller working for flying sims using a Teensy 4.0. Works great, and dead-simple. I wanted to extend it's usefulness to real quads/planes.

I know that Crossfire takes a UART input. Has anyone ever used an Arduino to send transmitter inputs to a Crossfire module via UART? (I'd like to avoid PPM).

Even better, read Crossfire telemetry as well?

Not that I know of, but the code for both is there in OpenTX and ready for your to wrap and use
