TH3D Tough Direct Drive Heatsink Extruder with V6 All-Metal Hotend
This upgrade helped a lot with the overall printing quality and with the printing of different brands and types of filaments.
List of parts used for this Printing Head Upgrade
1) TH3D Titan (Aero) Tough Direct Drive Extruder (with V6 All-Metal Hotend): https://www.th3dstudio.com/product/th3d ... d-package/
Update Note: Looks like Tim at TH3D has discontinued this kit, but may have it and/or parts, so give him a call to check out.
2) TH3D Titan (Aero) Tough Direct Heatsink
3) TH3D 1A Pancake Stepper Motor - NEMA 17 22.6mm
4) TH3D V6 All-Metal Hotend w/ Nozzle Kit (with 0.4 mm nozzle)
5) TH3D Titanium Heatbreak
6) Th3D Tough 50W Heater Cartridge – 12V
7) TH3D Glass Thermistor
8) Th3D 40mm Hotend-FAN 12V
9) TH3D 5015 High Speed Sealed Bearing FAN 12V Part-Cooling-Fan
10) TH3D Silicone Socks for V6 Hotend
11) TH3D Titan Aero Mount - You will want the mount to be printed with ABS filament
and you may want to ask TH3D to print it for you, TH3D cost was under $20.
You can print this mount yourself if you want also.
The path to find where the proper STL files are, go to the TH3D firmware:
"TH3D_UFW_U1.R2.17" / "TH3DUF_R2 / EZABL STL Files" \ "EZABL Probe Mounts" / "Titan Aero Mount - V6 and Volcano".
Then find these two STL files: "AeroCarriageEZABL_EXTENDED" and "V6 5015 Fan Duct".
Note: This Titan Aero Mount is also made to be used with the TH3D EZABL.
12) I made a new Hotend Cable and purchased an Extension Cable Kit for CR10s.
Find here an Extension Cable Kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B9 ... UTF8&psc=1
See here for some Cable Connector info: viewtopic.php?f=129&t=12376 See step 4 below for more info about E-extension cable.
13) I also purchased 510 Piece Screw & Nut Assortment M3/M4/M5 from TH3D.
You will need longer screws and may need to custom shorten them too.

1) Remove the stock Printing Head.
2) To make sure everything fits properly together,
first assemble the Tough Direct Drive Extruder Heatsink with V6 Hotend
at your work-bench.
Be careful not to over tighten the Extruder screws and
I used the Blue-Threadlocker on my final assembly.
3) When making the new Hotend Cable I used the same E-Stepper Motor cable coming from the Control Box
which was to short to reach all the way to the new position of the new TH3D 1A Pancake Stepper Motor.
So I used the E-Extension Cable to reach the new Pancake Stepper Motor
and I did NOT use the cable that came with the TH3D 1A Pancake Stepper Motor.
4) Here is the wiring color code for the TH3D 1A Pancake Stepper Motor if you need it. See here for an Extension Cable (E) Kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B9 ... UTF8&psc=1
5) Assemble the TH3D Tough Direct Drive Extruder with Heatsink
and V6 All-Metal Hotendto your 3D Printer.
