How do I take P3 out of service

erskyTx runs on many radios and upgrade boards
ersky9x was a port of er9x for use on the sky9x board.

How do I take P3 out of service

Post by manu »

My target is to put the rotary encoder inplace of the P3 pot.
What do I do with the remaining three wires of the obsolete P3? Just leave them apart or connect them together :? ?

Why don't you do what I have done.

Put the encoder where the trainer switch normally sits.

Then put a small spring loaded push button on the back of the tx to replace the trainer switch
End result... Gain an encoder... Don't loose anything :)

Good idea Rob.
I probably try this option on the left hand side as I already swapped the momentary switch to the left/THR CUT. (For me as a righthander this triggers the launch phase for a DLG Model ).

If you do remove the pot , do NOT short the wires together .
Tape up the bare ends of each lead.
