2.2.1 (x9d) Head tracker stopped working

My headtracker uses the trainer port on ch 6,7,8..
Trainer facility on 2.2.1 only seems to support ch1-4.
2.0.19 was working fine. (using TR6 and TR7)
The the hell do I do now

Should work just the same with TR5 and TR7. Do you have an actual plug inserted? Some people have had issues becasue they soldered wires to the trainer port, but 2.1 and later won't recognise the signal is present unless the jack detection contact is activated.

Thanks for your reply.
I have my headtracker plugged into my trainer port but I modified the port to supply power to the headtracker down the third wire. This worked fine on 2.0.19. It suddenly stopped working when I upgraded to 2.2.1
It looks like I'll have to take my Taranis apart and put some appropriate links in place.
Has anyone got a wiring diagram for this?
