The battery wasn't plugged in backwards. Everything is stock, also the battery tray. It worked fine until now.
Can someone please tell me how to use a multimeter for checking this resistors between the atmega and the screen connector?

Set the multimeter to read ohms using the 20K scale. Measure the resistors with the radio OFF.

Hey Kaos,
Do you still have this spare main board available? I let the smoke out with an accidental reverse polarity. I tried to replace caps and vregs, but haven't had any luck so far.
