Channel 5 on a different switch?

Post by darwint »

I have a Turnigy 9X transmitter. Do any of these firmwares allow you to assign channel 5 to a different switch? The circuitry for my mode switch does not work and if I could change it to a different switch (the HOV. PITCH preferably), I wouldn't have to buy another transmitter.

Thank you very much.

Yes, with any of these you may freely assign any controls or switches to any channel.

Yes, easily..
And maybe you can even fix that switch as you will have to open the radio anyway if you change the firmware..

:)

By the way, welcome to the forum ;)

Actually, I figured out that I can assign the hover throttle pot to channel 5. I replaced the pot with a 6 position rotary switch with resistors, which gives me 6 flight modes. Channel 6 to adjust circle rate, channel 7 for Super Simple Mode and channel 8 for Auto Tune Mode.

I've already ordered a Smartieparts board, so I will go ahead and upgrade my firmware any way.
