Frsky Taranis Plus - Power Adapter voltage range?

Post by pldb64 »

Hi All,

I'm trying to find out what the input voltage range of the standard power adapter that is shipped with the Taranis or Taranis Plus might be? For charging up the internal Ni-Mh battery.

Mine is being shipped from the US and will be supplied with the standard US plug and will obviously work with 110V. But my standard voltage range here in AUS is 220-240V. So whilst i know that the output from the power adapter is 0.5A at 12V DC, i'm trying to find out what the range of input voltages might be.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks
Peter

It's a 110v power supply, not usable on 220v. But 12v 0.5A (or more) power supplies with the appropriate input voltage and connector are easy to find locally and should be cheap or free. I found I had at least three such power supplies left over from various pieces of computer equipment, such as a desktop hard drive.

Or you can get the appropriate Taranis power supply from Hobbyking or other sources.

Correction: It's 110-240. Sorry.

Hi Kilrah - thats what i was hoping to find out! ... If it's got 110-240V as the range of voltage, then all i need is a US - AUS plug converter which is easy enough to source.

I don't have it yet which is why i was asking - thanks!
