The battery wasn't plugged in backwards. Everything is stock, also the battery tray. It worked fine until now.
Can someone please tell me how to use a multimeter for checking this resistors between the atmega and the screen connector?

Set the multimeter to read ohms using the 20K scale. Measure the resistors with the radio OFF.
