eepe won't download latest firmware ?

I ran eepe this morning and it say's 'New Version Available'

When I click download, it trys to download it but returns an error saying; 'Cannot download, server denied' or something like that.

Never had a problem before.

Is it something my end ?

I can download the *.hex file ok so I guess that's all that really matters till I can sort the problem out.

Must be thinking I am running a virus or something as I get the same server denial response if I try to download the file from the eepe website.

Something to do with google checker or some such thing.? Weird.

I just tried it with a different laptop. Same deal.

Same here. Looks like googlecode either has an issue or decided not to let you access .exe files directly over http anymore. The page says the raw file has 0 bytes size for all revisions, and clicking on view raw file returns an error page.

The problem is not present on other files including the linux packages, and the .exe is there if you checkout.

I think it is a googlecode issue. I had trouble with gmail sending a zip file with a .exe in it, even when I zipped the zip file, gmail rejected it.

I'm thinking about possible solutions.

I wonder what googlecode are up to? They've recently stopped allowing new downloads in the downloads section.
Are they trying to drive people away?

Note that if you take the github solution do NOT put the installers in the repo like now! They really need to be on separate web hosting.

Apparantly, having blocked the downloads, people have been using the googlecode repositories instead and abusing them, so .exe files have just been blocked from a raw download.

I've added the eePeInstall.exe file in a .zip on the repository.

In the short term, use this link and "view raw file", then "save as".

Hi I had the same today when starting eepe tried a feu times so then went to the google site and right click save target as then ran it direct from my comp and worked fine

I've done the best I can! The version you now have should look for the .zip file not the .exe file so it should work in future.
