Are you using your T9X under acid rain! :o Just kidding.
You are in US. Try Acehardware. I found they sometimes have some odd size screw/nuts there. Take your Tx there and try out in their store. I believe they can even special order for you.

You could look at 9XR replacement switches from HK, don't know if they come with the nut.

Other than this the same nuts are used on almost any radio, so you could get replacements from other brands. You'll probably pay 1/5th of the price of the 9x for one though :D
You might also want to check for broken 9xs.

these nuts really can drive you nuts.

I was replacing one of the switch because I broke the lever, pull one out with exact same dimension and spec from a junk Tx, trying to use the original nuts, BUT it won't fit, either the height or the pitch, Have to use the the one on the replacement switch. when eyeballing it, they look the same though.

Take the old ones off clean them with metal polish and then lacquer them.

Ask around if you're a RC club member or at your local flying field. Someone is always throwing away an old radio, especially PCM ones. I gather them up and harvest the sticks and switches for spare pots and nuts and switches. Free gold mine.
