I'm spending a rainy and windy afternoon programming all of models in c9x in anticipation of receiving my Taranis in a couple of days. I notice that each model file is about twice the number of bytes for that model in er9x which I attribute to telemetry and a few other bits I don't have in er9x. That got me to question what is the total size of the eeprom for model storage, the 60 model memory slots notwithstanding. In er9x on my 9x radio with stock board it is only about 1,500 bytes, not all of which can be used.

eeprom size?
Re: eeprom size?
The production Taranis has 32kB (32768 bytes).
I have 14 real models on, and 26011 bytes free, so about 482 bytes average per model (actually a bit less as this includes the radio general settings plus a copy of the currently selected model which is quite big).
You can use all 60 models if the average is about 540 bytes, so unless you only have lots of extra complicated ones you should be able to use all slots. My biggest is 618 bytes.

Re: eeprom size?
Good news, and thanx for the quick reply. I don't think I will be able to afford to fill all of the model slots.

Re: eeprom size?
You still have the SD to swap model on it...
Re: eeprom size?
I already have about 40,000 models on my SD card ready for my Taranis. Just wanting to make sure I have room for another 60 on the eeprom for next weekend's flying meet.

OBTW - Any model files on the SD card would have to be copied to the eeprom to use, right?
