Change names for MAX and FULL

Though I've become kinda fond of the "MAX" and "FULL" notation it is a stumbeling block for new ppl.

I wonder if just changing the notation to something else will be easier to understand....

maybe MAX could be replaced for "FIX" as its a fixed value

A little odd, but describes what it does.
FULL is fine as it is.

Guys, the name should make it clear to new users what the thing does.

The best thing I can say about FULL/HALF is that it ties them together. When you get one you'll at least have a better idea of the other.

The names must eb in some way connected.

Max is the value '0' when the variable of switch is off, or the value 'weight' when 'switch' is on.

Full is the value '-weight' when the variable of switch is off, or the value 'weight' when 'switch' is on.

So with that... how about...

source = full

source = neut
source = negt

source = wht+
source = wt<>

source = 0>wt
source = ->wt

source = 0>wt (null to weight)

Half sounds like it would give 1/2 throw both ways, in other words 1/2 of full.

To me the two functions are completely different, and the names should highlight that difference.

Well it does give 1/2 movement of full..... Yes, I know it's not completely accurate but for a newbee....

So Full is 'Full range of weight from - to + of the weight value' or Flrg .. fulw (full weight or - weight value to the actual weight value.) or even

And max is is the range from 0 weight to full defined weight... or... mxrg... posw (positive weight range) then you could have negw for -weight to 0...

o to weight are all Natural numbers... mnat? Max natural... Natr? for natural of weight value.

-weight to +weight would be a full range... or rnge?

range of -weight to +weight.. is a consistency of numbers... consistent being they start at -weight to +weight, without a break ort jump like starting at 0 to weight, which is not consistant from a full range of - to + integers...

S4 = { -4 < −3 < ... < -1/8 < 0 < 1/8 < 1/4 < 3/8 < 1/2 < 5/8 < 3/4 < 7/8 < 1 < 5/4 < 3/2 < 7/4 < 2 < 5/2 < 3 < 4 }
is an example of consistency...

-4 to +4....

Could be the Full Content of weight...

Or positive content of weight

or even a negative content of weight

weight is a matrix of numbers that is formed by a consistent array of numerical values that is defined by the user by assigning a value to weight as the maximum integer value of the array, and automatically assigning the negative of weight as the start of the array.

To access the matrix at certain points would be defined by accessing the matrix fully (mful) or the positive Matrix , 0 to weight definition (Mpos) or the negative values contained in the matrix (Mneg)

Oh EUREKA!

WFUL - full array of weight from - to +
WPOS - only positive of weight 0 to weight value
WNEG - only neg values of weight to 0 (yes, there is now another value.. woot)

I quite agree with Groot.. FULL travel and HALF travel.. It makes some sense.
MAX sounds good because that's what we're used to..

I'm trying hard to think like a newcomer... I remember being confused by the FULL/MAX. I think that going to FULL/HALF would at least make it a bit easier to understand the differences between the two.

I have never programmed the radio

... I took it apart and ...you know the rest.

The only one that I understood was Pat ..... Full uses the whole -100 to 0 to + 100 stick input , while 1way , would only apply to either the +100 to 0 or the 0 to -100 input.

Do I have it correct?

and when switch os off, FULL rests at -100 while MAX stays at 0

add comments in the firmware itself will take too much memory ? just some words explaining some options, like a help manual inside the firmware,
will be the most easy way to new users to understand some options that are not easy to understand just with the word,

MAX: "switch between 0 and the weight value
FULL: "switch between positive and negative weight value"
T2ThTrig: "enable timer 2 to be trigered by throtle"
E. Limits: "extend limits up to 125%"

and so on...

That would be better done in eepe. like when you put the mouse on top.. we should not load the radio with this kind of info.. that why eepe is there, and I'm pretty sure that most of the people use it to programm anyway,..
