Guys,
Probably a blessing in disguise but today I lifted up my 9x by the antenna (yeah I know a daft thing to do) and the antenna base part that screws onto the module stayed on the radio and the rest which includes the swivel connector remained in my hand!
No damage to the radio but looking into the end of each part it appear the antenna wire just a push fit into the base or was a dry joint.
Can the Frsky antenna be bought separately?
UPDATE - Found one from a UK supplier.

Any 2.4g wifi router antenna should do the job.

Hi Rob,
Yes I guess they all cover a wide bandwidth on the 2.4 Ghz band. The actual replacement antenna is less than two quid from a UK supplier so I guess I will stock up on other bits and pieces at the same time

This company is one that many of us use in the UK. Here is the Frsky page. ---> http://www.giantshark.co.uk/frsky-c-40_160_308.html
