Fitting a Power LED
Re: Fitting a Power LED
I want to see a radio with a Larson scanner.
Re: Fitting a Power LED
put 7 of those neon leds in a row, you got one. 0.05 x7 = 35 cents.
Re: Fitting a Power LED

Re: Fitting a Power LED
Looks good. You can use the light to guide your planes in for nighttime landings
Re: Fitting a Power LED
Disco beacon.
but won't that just smash you plane right into your face? no prop plane.

Re: Fitting a Power LED
Nah . Just reach out and catch it. Time the pulsing of the led with the rpm of the prop and it will just stop spinning right in front of you
Re: Fitting a Power LED
here is how it's done. add a 5v reg (since i have a bunch left). like to keep everything on the same side and don't want to tax the main board power. draw the power straight from a switched batt power line and it will feed any crazy 5v mod craving you want on the back of the tx.
Re: Fitting a Power LED
What a good idea. Use a high power LED hooked up to some electronics and you have a lovely inbuilt stroberperkins wrote:Time the pulsing of the led with the rpm of the prop and it will just stop spinning right in front of you
Of course just using the LED as a strobe would be a waste.. It can become the ideal tent light for those times you are out there in the wilds camping and flying. I am sure that you guys could design a nice lampshade that would fit onto the 9x to give it that homely look. Yes chaps. The 9x power LED has come of age.. All it needs is some neat programming and a couple of GVARS to do the tricky stuff that most of us are clueless about.
