Hey guys was a bit bored today, and got myself a nice little project.
Built an arduino UNO, well, it doesn't look as good as an Arduino UNO but it works like one
It is as easy as throwing a few components on a strip board. Oh, Maybe I should call it a Stripuino
Anyway, here are a couple of pictures.. I used smd capacitors that I had here but I would have used normal ceramic caps if I had them..

Re: Arduino, easy to build
I like it. the front looks clean. Mine are way too messy, especially the back. you got all those IO hooked up. What's the back look like ? I always feel like I spent more in parts than what I coulda bought the chinese knockoffs for. But I like to tailor them to the space I have and application at hand. I just wire up the IO I need so it isnt very versatile .
Re: Arduino, easy to build
Looks like this..
I added some headers for GND and +5V just like in the servo cables. Did it because some sensors need power as well.

Re: Arduino, easy to build
ah. I need some board like that. On the board I have each vias is an island. I have to bridge the gap across each one with solder , or use a wire jumper. Looks good. thanks for the updated pic
Re: Arduino, easy to build
Now is a bit late, well, too late actually. 5am but tomorrow (later) I'll post the schematics I used and the layout for the stripboard.

Re: Arduino, easy to build
Ok, just built a LCD shield for my Stripuino
The ports that are covered by the LCD board can be accessed on the top too. Even with the 2 boards connected we can use all the ports.
Some Pics.

Re: Arduino, easy to build
The Arduino is an excellent platform. I used my Uno as an ISP to program a little sketch on an AtTiny45 tonight - very simple and quite effective! details: viewtopic.php?f=84&t=2897
