Blade MQX template

Post by blackmoon »

Does anyone have a template for a MQX ?

I know it should be a simple 4ch one, but it just doesn't work

I am using a Spek DM9 module it shouldn't play any adverse role, but...

I'm at lost tried everything that I know without success.

Thank you.

Edit: Template by oxxyfx : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1677&p=25574#p25455 .

Thanks to him.

Yes, should be a basic TAER 4-channel assignment, nothing else. Leave protocol as PPM of course as you have a DM9.

Ok so something is f** with my radio because it just doesn't work.

I'm really curious to know how many people are flying it with the er9x.

I only found one guy on this forum and at RCG that was talking about it.

Pmed him but never got a reply.

I'll let it be don't want to loose more time with this.

Thank you anyway.

Have you used your DM9 with another model successfully? It might need different PPM settings than the defaults (I think I've read it needed positive instead of negative, or something like this)...

I am flying an mQX with no problem, but with the DSM mod and a DX4e module and on open9x. I could give you my file, but it makes little sense as you'd have to change more settings than starting from scratch.

I have found with the BNF stuff, that if you change the ppm delay to 400 (up from the default 300) then everything centers better. It has never affected binding though. My MCPx has the ppm set to PPM 22.5msec 6CH 400us. Maybe that will help.

Yes I have a Mwii quad (flydumini) that works without a hitch, the rx on that one is a HK clone not the orange ones.

I don't have any issues with my pcm9xII.

I'll try to switch to open9x and see if it change something.

Btw from wish revision of open9x are you flying your mqx ?

Thanks.

Hi gohsthb,

I never did go so high on the delay, maybe you are onto something here.

The thing is it has no trouble binding to the TX, just one motor not starting at all.

I'll try 400 and see what happens.

Thank you.

Sometimes I would slap myself :p

Just tried it works like a charm, 400µs it was for the delay.

Binds ok and all motor start at the same time.

I'm a happy camper now, it was the last toy I needed on the 9X

Just setup my little MQX/WK Ladybird hybrid, so cool.

Thank you very much gohsthb.

@Kilrah do you have channels reversed ?

how did you reverse it , - weight in the mix or INv in limits ?

I reversed Ail and rud in the mix and have 2 motors stop and the opposites accelerating when I have it in hand.

Like it wants to flip.

I should have flown it instead of testing in hand.

Test flight was conclusive when you keep it the gyro get confused I think and you get unexpected results.

Thank you for your help guys :D

This works for me. I have a Spektrum DM9 JR module plugged into the back of my Turnigy 9X which makes it fully Spektrum compatible, it binds with all the Ultra Micro planes and helicopters. This MQX template is nothing fancy, perhaps it has to be tweaked for more aggressive flying.

Thank you for sharing.

In my case, it wasn't the template the issue (since a simple 4ch can do it) but the delay setting in the PPM stream as gohsthb suggested.

Edited my first post to point to yours.

Of course not. The mQX is a DSM2 model, so you need a DSM2 module.
