r1514 xxx.hex is not a known firmware

I compiled (on Win XP) some versions of OPEN9X (from versions 1509 and 1514) and companion (r1443) rejects to flash the files with error message "xxx.hex is not a known firmware"

If I 'burn anyway' I get 'EEPROM warning, bad EEPROM data' on the radio

Also, trying to 'burn EEprom' gives "invalid binary Eeprom file" message.

Older versions of OPEN9X (e.g. 1476) do work.

It's normal, there have been changes to the eeprom structure, so you should also compile the current svn revision of companion9x and use that to do any edits.
