Best PPM Setting for FrSky

Post by bwww »

Hi,

I have installed the FrSky DHT 8ch DIY Telemetry TX module in my Turnigy 9x (Running Open9x with FrSky Telemetery). It is paired with a FrSky D8R-II PLUS 8CH Receiver (with Telemetery). What is the best Proto and PPM Frame settings for this kind of setup?

Thanks, I am a newbie at RC.

FrSky accepts POS or NEG so the setting doesn't matter

I'm pretty sure - i've read somewhere, either in the manual, or withing the rcg forum thread related to frsky, that FrSky ppm frame length is recommended 18ms for the standard speed, and 9ms for high speed. I myself use 18ms, and no problems.

No, that's what the frsky receiver puts out on the servo pins, NOT what you should give to the TX module.
Sending an 8-channel PPM signal in 18ms to the TX module will cause loss of response in certain conditions.
