Using FrSky module with Sky9x board

Quick question. I have my 9x modded so the 2 unused pins on the module socket transport the telemetry signals to the inside of the radio. I know I can just pipe these signals to the sky9x board for telemetry. My question is since I modified the frsky module by adding the 2 wires and resistor for the stock board telemetry can I use this as is with the ersky board or do I have to remove the resistor?
