transmitter module case
transmitter module case
where can i buy the case for the tx module?
i would like to port over the module from an airtronics 5-ch fhss-1 transmitter. i have not probed the signals yet, but it looks like a simple ppm-ish serial link from the controller to the module with a separate bind button connection. the atx tx module is small, it can easily fit inside the 9x tx module case but i don't want take apart my current tx module.
my airtronix fhss-1 system has been very reliable with dual rx antenna diversity and all that, so it'll be interesting to be able to use er9x with atx rx'es.
thanks

Re: transmitter module case
Thanks for the link. I ordered a couple and they were delivered promptly. However it brought up something I hadn't though about. I already have dx4e (atmx11) module, antenna from dx4e,3.3 bec from hk on the way. I want a finished module that can plug into 9x and go. Planning on mounting antenna on back of module. (Will check if metal handle affects range with
Re: transmitter module case
Ahh. Crazy cellphone. Anyway.
Will check range with airview2 analyzer. What I don't have is the bare pcb board with appropriate mounting and connections to comnect to 9x.
What board or components would you use to electically connect the dsm2 module to the 9x.
Thanks

Oops - posted in wrong thread
Re: transmitter module case
Dats ok. I searched around last night and didn't come up with anything cheap. Now thinking bout a small breadboard with thecorrect female headers. Mount bec and atmx11 to other side. Screw or tape it all into the case I got at the top of the thread
Re: transmitter module case
Beware! The latest JRPA615 blank module cases have a big rectangular hole in the back..
Somewhat defeats the object 3 Year warranty though!

Re: transmitter module case
Yea . That hole in the back is where i connect the removable antenna. I woulda been done and showing my dsm2 mod off, but connected rhe 3.3v bec backwards and sent like 30v to the dsm2 module. Had to get another donor tx for module. Haveng gotten back to it

Re: transmitter module case
An idea for the hole...
Glue some clear perspex across the back of it. Then.. if you DSM module you have has an led on it.. it can shine through
The hole is for the 35mhz crystal to get plugged in
