Where to get spare turnigy 9x8c-v2 6 0r 8 ch receiver
Anyone know where I can get a spare turnigy 9x8c-v2 6 or 8-channel receiver (only). Does any other recxeiver 4-8 ch bind with this RX? I'm a newbie (US - Mass) and just ordered the new unit with v-2 firmware from Hobby King. If it performs as well as it's cracked up to be, I expect to convert other planes to this TX/RX combo. Any help would be appreciated

Any source that sells Flysky or Eurgle 9x systems is OK. The receivers are all the same. Make sure you get the right version. Compatibles will have a single antenna with the bulge toward the end. Older, V1 models have two antennas. HobbyPartz.com and Valuehobby.com are two US sources.

Get the 8 or 6 channel receivers. The 3 channel FlySky receivers do work, but I have learnt the hard way that they are not reliable enough for aerial use. They are intended for cars and boats.

I permanently fly 3channel receivers with 2m electric gliders and never had any problems with the range.

I use 3ch too, in 4 different planes , no issues either.

I used the 3 channel receivers in my flying wings. The problem I have had is that two of the receivers have gone bad after hard landings (it is fun flying wings at high speed, not so fun to land them at low speed). The rough landings were no worse than what is to be expected. I caught the first one on the ground with only 10 meters range left. The second one came as an unpleasant surprise during flight.
Until they failed abruptly on me I never had a problem with the 3 channel receivers. But they seem to be a bit fragile. Or I might be unlucky. Who knows?
But the 6 channel receivers are only marginally more expensive and I have had no problems with those.
